What is Peer Mediation?
Conflict is a normal and positive force that can be a part of personal growth and social change. To deal effectively with a conflict, a trained peer mediator manages a process of communication and problem solving that leads to a resolution. Peer mediation is a “chance to sit face to face and talk, uninterrupted, so each side of the dispute is heard. After the problem is defined, solutions are created and then evaluated. When an agreement is reached, it is written and signed.”
